A few weeks ago, Disney Cruise Line announced more information about their new ship, Disney Adventure. While the information has been a little light on, we’re getting more all the time, and hopefully soon we’ll have details about specific sailings and dining and entertainment options onboard! Here’s the top things we know about the new ship coming to Singapore in 2025!
Where will she sail?
Disney Adventure will sail from Singapore – the port will be her home for at least five years. While we don’t know exactly where she’ll sail, and what ports she’ll visit, or if she’ll visit ports at all, we know she’ll cruise most of the year, with longer seasons than most cruises.
How long will sailings be, and when will they be?
Disney Cruise Line recently announced that she will feature 3- and 4-night voyages. All we know is that she’ll start sailing in 2025.
What will the theming look like?
In May 2024, Disney shared the bow art for the front of the ship, displaying none other than Captain Mickey! Other than that, not much has been revealed just yet on the other details and designs of the ship.
Onboard, there will be new areas to discover based on Disney, Marvel, and Pixar properties. Those new areas will include:
Disney Imagination Garden: An enchanted valley inspired by heroic Disney stories, including Mowgli and Moana. The gathering space will be home to an open-air stage with performances.
Disney Discovery Reef: Shopping and dining options inspired by the worlds of The Little Mermaid, Lilo & Stitch, Finding Nemo, and Luca.
San Fransokyo Street: A family entertainment area inspired by Big Hero 6, featuring interactive games, activities, shops, cinemas, and more.
Wayfinder Bay: A poolside retreat featuring art inspired by Moana. This will have some of the best views onboard the Disney Adventure!
Town Square: Shops, lounges, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues inspired by the kingdoms of Tangled, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Princess and the Frog, and more.
Marvel Landing: Attractions and experiences featuring the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Toy Story Place: Area for little ones featuring an interactive water play area, along with different food venues.
Disney Adventure is an acquired ship
If you haven’t heard, Disney Adventure is the first ship that Disney Cruise Line didn’t build from scratch. They acquired the ship that would become the Adventure, the Global Dream from Genting Hong Kong. When Disney Cruise Line bought the ship, it was only 70% complete, so they were able to customise and redesign it to match the other ships in the DCL fleet.
World-renowned Disney hospitality
And, of course, we know to expect the hospitality, luxury, and comfort that Disney is world-renowned for!
